The Office of Agricultural Economics Region 5 (OAE 5) Participates in the 2025 Thai Swamp Buffalo Conservation and Development Day
On January 11, 2025, Mrs. Isaraporn Chaikuna, Acting Director of the Office of Agricultural Economics Region 5, assigned Mrs. Monthira Sainoi, Director of the Research and Evaluation Division, to attend the 2025 Thai Swamp Buffalo Conservation and Development Day at the Dairy Cattle Research and Development Center, Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province.
The event was presided over by Dr. Nammanita Klapbanko, Assistant Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, and featured activities such as Thai swamp buffalo contests, agricultural demonstrations, exhibitions of products derived from Thai swamp buffalo, and demonstrations of production techniques.
These activities aimed to promote conservation, the selection of high-quality Thai swamp buffalo for future breeding, and to provide knowledge and understanding to farmers and the general public. The event also emphasized improving the buffalo farming system to meet market demands, thereby increasing farmers' income and supporting sustainable livelihoods.
